The usage instructions on a bottle of XanGo® Juice say to drink 1 to 3 fluid ounces daily. But many of you want to know “is this the amount I should drink? Is there an optimal amount to drink? Do I drink it all at one time? If 3 ounces is good for me then isn’t drinking the whole bottle more beneficial for me?” These are common questions that we have been getting since the beginning—from new and old XanGo drinkers alike.
XanGo Juice first came to market almost eight years ago. Since that time, the scientific research and understanding of the benefits of the Juice have grown significantly. In developing research studies, we considered the simple question “how much do I need to drink?” To answer that we began with two other questions: first, “are the actives found in XanGo Juice absorbed?” and second, “how long do they stay in our system?” Here are some of our results.
Xanthones, potent antioxidants found in high concentrations within the mangosteen peel, have been found in the blood stream after consumption of XanGo Juice—so we know that our product is bioavailable (i.e. it can be absorbed and used by) to the human body. However, the half-life of xanthones in our system is approximately 3.5 hours. That means that 3.5 hours after consuming XanGo Juice half of the xanthones that were absorbed have been processed and eliminated from the body. As a result of the 3.5 hour half-life, we recommend drinking XanGo Juice in two to three doses throughout the day instead of all at once. This will ensure a steady level of active xanthones available to the body’s systems throughout the day.
So, if a little is good, then more is better, right? Actually, this is not an accurate statement when it comes to XanGo Juice. In our scientific research on XanGo Juice and the mangosteen fruit we found that the bioavailability of the actives (i.e. xanthones) decreased as the concentration of them increased to high levels. For example, we found that drinking 3 ounces twice daily or even 6 ounces twice daily had a greater benefit than consuming 9 ounces twice daily.
Remember this when our competitors claim that their product is more potent than XanGo Juice and contains XX% more xanthones than XanGo Juice. Simply stop and think “am I just flushing more product down the toilet?” The answer, based on scientific research, is “yes”.
Then why is it that it works better when you have cancer and you are drinking 1 bottle a day? This is good to know. We drink about 6 oz each a day because I notice the difference in my arthritis and how I feel and sleep..
Thank you
Thank you so much for that valuable information!! I’ve been wondering, but never asked the question. I LOVE XANGO!!

I think your answer is reasonable, but why have some taken on the “21 day challenge” (1 bottle a day for 21 days)followed with at least 1 gallon of pure water for serious illness such as cancer. We are currently on our 19th day at 1 bottle/day.
Thank you for your comment, in regards to the “21 Day Challenge”. While consuming a bottle of juice per day is perfectly safe, as a company, we have not studied specific benefits of drinking a bottle a day in comparison to 3, 6 and 9 oz. twice per day as in our recent study . Therefore, the “21 Day Challenge” is not something that XanGo corporate promotes. We would encourage you to contact your sponsoring party for additional information on the science behind the “21 Day Challenge”.

Do I drink it straight up or do I mix in in water????
Thanks
XANGO Juice is great as is, or mixed with water or juice if preferred. When my children were younger, I would add it to water or juice for their sensitive palate, but now they drink it as is and love it and so do I.
